As a Supervisory Emergency Actions Specialist for the Facilities, Security & Contract Group you will direct the critical emergency response aspects of the Security program for OPM. Your organization is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and conducting all emergency response actions for OPM to include insuring national security coordination efforts for OPM.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

US Citizen

Suitable for a Top Secret clearance

Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service

Relevant experience/education (see Qualifications below)

Additional Duty Location Info:

1 vacancy – Washington DC Metro Area, DC

Directs and manages the Emergency Actions Branch. This includes directing the Situation Room Watch Officers and activities, emergency operations plans and programs, Homeland security planning and the Shelter-in-Place programs for OPM.

Directs and manages the Continuity of Operations, Continuity of Government and Occupant Emergency programs for OPM.

Advises OPM managers and other senior staff on all emergency actions and plans affecting their areas and employees.

Supervises and directs the planning, development and implementation of the Emergency Actions programs for the central office and field activities, consistent with Agency requirements.

Communicates critical emergency action plans and program information to large audiences of OPM managers and employees.

Assist in the preparation of budgets, staffing and planning issues related to the Emergency Actions Branch operations, to include the field locations.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience which may have equipped the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the position. More specifically, experience as a security specialist working with emergency action plans and security programs and activities at the expert level.

Time-in-Grade: Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements for consideration.
