GENERAL SUMMARY
LMI is a Government consulting organization dedicated to improving public sector management through research, analysis, and counsel. Since 1961 we’ve focused on supporting Federal agencies, both those responsible for our Nation’s security and those administering civil programs. This position will be in support of the Continuity of operations responsibilities of the emergency preparedness program within the DIA’s Mission Assurance Office.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Researching, coordinating, drafting, implementing and testing COOP and business continuity plans designed to enable the facility to respond to and recovery from a full ranged of natural and manmade disasters.
Coordinating and effectively interacting with the other members of the mission assurance (MA) office involved in emergency response programs in the development of of MA products and exercises.
Providing COOP plans and business continuity policy recommendations
Providing COOP plans and business continuity support plans
Development of exercises, that test COOP plans and activities
Contributing to the weekly significant operations report
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Current TS with SCI clearance is MANDATORY
Bachelors degree required
3 or more years of COOP planning/management experience in a military or DOD environment
Superior communication skills both oral and written
Knowledge of MS Office Suite
AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Continuity of Operations Planning
Exercise Planning, conducing, and evaluation
Experience in emergency preparedness and its role in Continuity of operations a plus
Experience in developing and coordinating written policies for senior management is desired
